Tips / Current
Conditions:
Look
for the pattern to change in the next few weeks as the weather and water begin
to warm. White bass spawn is starting to trickle in the feeder creeks at the
lower portions of the creek mouths and some are in the creeks themselves.
Rooster Tails work well by letting it hit the bottom then reeling back. Every
time it rains a new batch of minnows will show.
Target
1-5 feet of water, for big blue catfish then work your way to deeper water.
Catfish can be caught with a Santee rig with a 2-ounce weight, dragging them
behind the boat, using Find the wall of bait, approximately 10 feet thick and
drop your bait when you see them and there will be cats in the area. Utilizing a
regular 5 inch paddle tail swimbait with a quarter ounce head will prove successful
in pulling them off of deep water brush.
